Snapchat Launches In-App Meditation Experience With Headspace

Snap Inc. launched Snapchats Minis partnership and in-App meditation experience with Headspace;

The best-in-class platform providing guided meditations, animations, features and videos intended to improve the health, happiness and mindfulness of the world.

The newest feature gives Snapchatters with skilful resources linked to emotional and physical well-being while providing daily meditations and tools to help Snapchatters check-in with their friends and stay healthy.

During times of stress, connecting with friends and having moments of recreation and mindfulness, have never been more critical.

By putting resources front and centre where friends already meet and share, Snaps Headspace feature will provide a safe space for friends to practice meditation and mindfulness exercises, and use these new tools to send encouraging messages to boost friends in need positively.

Hussein Freijeh, General Manager of Snap Inc., Middle East, said: Snapchat is deeply committed to the well-being of our community.

From the beginning, we aimed to provide Snapchatters, a place where they felt comfortable expressing themselves with their close friends and finding support.

First announced at Snap Partner Summit last month, Snap Minis are a new way for developers to bring bite-sized experiences to Snapchat.

Snap Minis are utilities designed to integrate within conversations on Snapchat, so coordinating between friends is faster than ever.

We have a deep and guiding belief that technology should be designed for humans- not the other way around.

Our centre innovation, ephemeral messaging, reflects that approach- encouraging the kind of natural, spontaneous conversation people have with their close friends in real life, added Freijeh.
