Second Century Ventures Invests in UAE PropTech Startup Takeem Through REACH Middle East

Takeem, a UAE-based proptech platform transforming the rental and ownership experience, has secured investment from REACH Middle East — the regional accelerator of Second Century Ventures (SCV), the strategic investment arm of the National Association of Realtors (NAR). SCV is widely recognized as the world’s most active and one of the largest venture capital investors in real estate technology.

The investment, made through REACH Middle East, reinforces Takeem’s growing impact in the regional real estate ecosystem. REACH supports high-growth technology companies developing next-generation solutions that redefine the real estate industry globally.

In less than a year, Takeem has onboarded over 55,000 residential units to its platform—representing an annual rental value exceeding AED 5 billion. Following this rapid adoption, the company is expanding into the B2C market, targeting smaller landlords and tenants.

Takeem tackles long-standing inefficiencies in rental markets—such as limited transparency, liquidity friction, and manual processes—through its proprietary risk intelligence engine and rental guarantee model. The platform enhances trust, improves affordability, and helps landlords increase yields while minimizing risk exposure.

Takeem’s innovation and impact have been widely recognized, earning multiple industry accolades:

  • 2024: “Most Advanced App” at the Create Apps Award under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan, supported by the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy.

  • 2025: “Startup of the Year” at the Tech Innovation Awards, “Runner-Up PropTech of the Year” at the Property Finder Awards, and “PropTech of the Year” at the World Realty Congress.

Rakesh Mavath, Co-founder and CEO of Takeem, said:

“Renting is the largest financial commitment most people make every year, yet the infrastructure behind it is still trust, paperwork, and hope. Takeem was built to make rent more predictable, measurable, and scalable for landlords and tenants alike. Having NAR REACH MENA and Second Century Ventures behind us validates our vision and accelerates our journey toward a global standard for rental markets.”

Dave Garland, Managing Partner at Second Century Ventures, commented:

“Globally, REACH identifies companies building the foundational infrastructure for the future of real estate. Takeem’s approach to rental guarantees and risk intelligence represents a scalable, capital-efficient model addressing a universal challenge.”

Siddiq Farid, Managing Director at REACH Middle East, added:

“What makes Takeem stand out is its deep understanding of how rental risk behaves in this market. Their homegrown, GCC-specific model has global scalability potential, and we’re proud to support them in creating a more transparent and liquid rental ecosystem.”

With this backing, Takeem joins Second Century Ventures’ elite global portfolio of companies shaping the next era of real estate infrastructure, reinforcing the UAE’s status as a growing hub for proptech innovation.
