Saudi Delegation at WEF 2025 Calls for Global Cooperation and Focus on “Greater Good"

The Saudi delegation at the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting 2025 emphasized the importance of prioritizing global collaboration to address the pressing challenges of a fragmented world.

His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, urged nations to align efforts toward shared prosperity. He remarked, “When we prioritize the greater good over narrow interests, we can work towards something that delivers for all of us. Despite the challenges ahead, I remain hopeful that the global community will work together to solve problems.”

1. Global Trade:
   H.E. Dr. Majid A. Alkassabi, Minister of Commerce, called for a revised global trade framework, saying, “We need a new global trade book and alternative sources of supply to mitigate risks from high-risk regions.”

2. Tourism and Vision 2030:
   H.E. Ahmed A. Al-Khateeb, Minister of Tourism, highlighted Saudi Arabia's transformative approach to tourism under Vision 2030:
   “We are unlocking travel and tourism sectors, building destinations, airports, new airlines, and enhancing the end-to-end tourism experience.”

3. Environment and Sustainability:
   H.E. Adel A. Aljubeir, Envoy for Climate, discussed the Middle East Green Initiative, a coalition of 22 regional countries aimed at adopting circular carbon economy principles to tackle environmental challenges.

   H.E. Mohammed A. Aljadaan, Minister of Finance, emphasized Saudi Arabia’s efforts to de-escalate regional tensions:
   “Real actions to strengthen stability and growth have paid off and will continue to do so.”

   H.E. Abdullah A. Alswaha, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, stated:
