Salam and KAROOOOO Partner to Expand Connected Fleet Solutions in Saudi Arabia
Etihad Salam Telecom Company (Salam) has announced a strategic partnership with KAROOOOO, a NASDAQ-listed technology company specialising in connected vehicle and fleet management software through its Cartrack subsidiary, to expand connected mobility and fleet solutions across Saudi Arabia.
The partnership was announced at LEAP 2026, where Salam is participating as a strategic sponsor under its “Powering what’s next” theme. The collaboration combines Salam’s telecommunications infrastructure and market reach with KAROOOOO’s vehicle tracking, connected mobility and fleet intelligence capabilities.
Salam to Distribute Cartrack Solutions
Under the partnership, Salam will distribute and resell KAROOOOO’s Cartrack products in the Saudi market.
The two companies will also explore integrating Cartrack’s portfolio into Salam’s existing service offerings, with the aim of expanding the range of connected mobility solutions available to Salam’s customers across the Kingdom.
The companies plan to go beyond distribution by jointly developing value-added services based on KAROOOOO’s technology platform. These solutions will be tailored to the requirements of Salam’s customers and the evolving needs of Saudi businesses.
Connected Mobility and Fleet Intelligence in Focus
The collaboration brings together Salam’s established connectivity capabilities with Cartrack’s expertise in vehicle tracking and fleet intelligence.
The combined offering is expected to help businesses gain greater visibility into their mobility operations and make greater use of data-driven insights for fleet management.
Cartrack also highlighted its connected mobility, IoT and AI capabilities during LEAP 2026, with demonstrations covering areas such as driver safety, fuel monitoring, cargo security, equipment utilisation and temperature monitoring.
Salam Targets Future-Ready Business Solutions
Abdullah Khorami, Chief Business Officer at Salam, said the partnership represents an extension of the company’s focus on delivering future-ready solutions and supporting Saudi Arabia’s digital evolution.
He said combining Salam’s telecommunications capabilities and market reach with KAROOOOO’s connected vehicle expertise could help businesses across the Kingdom manage mobility more effectively and leverage data-driven insights.
For Salam, the partnership forms part of its broader effort to expand beyond traditional telecommunications services and develop technology-driven solutions for enterprise customers.
KAROOOOO Seeks Wider Saudi Market Reach
Zak Calisto, Founder and Group CEO of KAROOOOO, said Salam’s established market presence and focus on innovation make it a strong partner for expanding the reach of the company’s Cartrack portfolio.
The partnership provides KAROOOOO with an opportunity to deepen its presence in Saudi Arabia through Salam’s telecommunications network and customer base.
The companies will work towards delivering connected solutions designed to address operational challenges faced by businesses across the Kingdom.
Partnership Supports Saudi Digital Transformation
The agreement comes as Saudi Arabia continues to expand the use of connected technologies, data and intelligent systems across businesses and infrastructure.
For Salam and KAROOOOO, the partnership positions connected mobility and intelligent fleet management as an area for further technology development and commercial expansion.
By combining telecommunications connectivity with fleet intelligence and IoT capabilities, the companies aim to create solutions that can help Saudi businesses improve visibility, operational control and data-driven decision-making.
LEAP 2026 Provides Platform for Collaboration
The announcement at LEAP 2026 highlights both companies’ ambitions to build partnerships around emerging technologies and contribute to Saudi Arabia’s broader digital transformation.
The collaboration is expected to develop progressively through product distribution, integration into Salam’s existing offerings and the joint creation of value-added services for the Saudi market.
