Orient Insurance, a division of Al-Futtaim, has officially launched its operations in Saudi Arabia, marking a significant milestone in its regional expansion. The new offices, located in Al Ghadir, Riyadh, were inaugurated as part of this pivotal development.
Leadership and Strategic Vision
Turki Alshahrani, CEO of Orient KSA, will lead the local operations, supported by a team of experts across underwriting, business development, and finance. Commenting on the launch, Alshahrani stated:

The launch aligns with Saudi Arabia’s booming insurance sector, which recorded a 22.7% growth in gross written premiums (GWP) in 2023, reaching SR65.5 billion (USD 17.5 billion). Contributing factors include robust economic activity, rising health insurance coverage, mandatory insurance requirements, and increased vehicle sales, which grew by 23% in 2023.
