Nick Mellor and Ron Kenney to represent Abu Dhabi Golf Club at 17th Xerox Corporate Golf Challenge Grand Final
The eighth qualifier of the Xerox Corporate Golf Challenge (XCGC), held at the Abu Dhabi Clubs National Course, saw Nick Mellor and Ron Kenney of team Lockheed Martin (score 44) secure a berth at the Grand Finals to be played in Ras Al Khaimah at the end of this year. 30 teams participated in the hotly-contested qualifier, and runners-up were team Team Palmers (Thomas Wiberg and Rune Rasmussew Score 42) and Team Sprinks (Corey Spring and Paul Spinks score 41).
On-course sponsored competitions saw Guy Williams win Aramexs Hole 4 Nearest the Pin; Mick Fuerste claim Eccos Hole 12 Nearest the Pin; Rune Rasmussen take Crystal Gallerys Longest Drive Hole 9; John Allertson III walk away with PWSs Longest Drive Hole 2 and S.J. Hwang with Hole 18s Longest Drive.
Winners from the Abu Dhabi Golf Club qualifier will play alongside other finalists in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, in December 2015. The Grand Finals will be a two-day, 36-hole game at Tower Links and Al Hamra golf courses, with overnight stay at the Waldorf Astoria. The event is supported by Ras Al Khaimah Tourism.
