Nibras International School Raises AED 23,700 for Al Jalila Foundation’s Cancer Awareness Campaign
Nibras International School, part of the International Schools Partnership (iSP), has raised AED 23,700 in support of Al Jalila Foundation’s cancer research and awareness initiatives. This marks the third consecutive year the school has set a fundraising record for the cause.
As recognition for their efforts, student representatives from the High School Student Council, Elementary Student Council, and Grade 12 were invited to visit Al Jalila Foundation to present the donation and learn more about its initiatives. The visit provided students with insight into the impact of their contributions and reinforced the importance of community support for cancer patients and research.
Reine, a 17-year-old student, shared her experience: “Visiting Al Jalila Foundation was heartwarming. Seeing the incredible work being done to combat cancer made us proud to contribute to such a meaningful cause.”
The school organized multiple events, including a Pink Market featuring themed merchandise, games, and activities, bringing the community together for cancer awareness. Additionally, the "A Dirham for a Cause" campaign, led by the Elementary Student Council, encouraged younger students to contribute to the initiative.
“Our young student leaders played a crucial role in this achievement,” said Ms. Amena Saleem, High School Student Council Supervisor. “With the guidance of our faculty members, their innovative CSR initiatives came to life.”
Dr. Jay Teston, Principal of Nibras International School, added: “At Nibras, we emphasize happiness, wellness, and social responsibility. By fostering empathy and leadership in our students, we help shape individuals who will make a positive impact beyond the classroom.”
Nibras International School, located in Dubai Investment Park, follows the American curriculum and offers AERO Common Core Plus and Advanced Placement courses. Through its programs, the school nurtures students to embrace challenges, share ideas, and drive positive change in the world.
