Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government Explores ‘Leadership Skills’ and ‘Keys to the Future’ at GITEX Global 2024

The Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government (MBRSG) concluded its participation at GITEX Global 2024, where it hosted two impactful workshops under the Digital Dubai umbrella. Held from 14 to 18 October, the sessions explored critical leadership skills and the future of governance in an AI-driven economy.

MBRSG's first workshop, titled "Leadership Skills for 21st Century Governments," took place on 16 October, presented by Dr. Yousif El-Ghalayini, Associate Professor in Public Administration. The session addressed the transformative effects of the Fourth Industrial Revolution on government operations and highlighted the crucial skills gap that governments must close to navigate these changes effectively. Aligning with the Dubai Government’s digital strategy, the discussion emphasized the importance of fostering digital culture and integrating smart technologies to build a knowledge-based economy.

On 17 October, the second workshop, "Keys to the Future: Preparing for a New World," was led by Saleh Al Hammouri, Development and Training Expert in Executive Education at MBRSG. This session delved into the essential skills future leaders need in an ever-changing world, focusing on the importance of strategic foresight and technological innovation to address emerging challenges.

Both workshops supported MBRSG's mission to advance public administration knowledge, equip government officials with digital skills, and enhance Dubai’s leadership in the global AI economy. These initiatives align with the Dubai Digital Strategy, which seeks to empower 50,000 government employees with advanced digital expertise and strengthen the UAE’s digital competitiveness.
