Ministry of Education launches winter camps for 2025-2026 academic year

The Ministry of Education (MoE) has announced the launch of its winter camps for the 2025–2026 academic year, scheduled to run from 8 December 2025 to 4 January 2026. Designed to transform the school break into an enriching learning experience, the initiative aims to develop students’ skills under the guidance of expert educators and support the Ministry’s vision of building a capable, future-ready generation.

The winter camps are open to students from all public and private schools across the UAE. Programmes will be delivered through schools, training centres, sports facilities, specialised camps and virtual platforms. The MoE is collaborating with several major partners, including the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, Dubai Police, the Community Development Authority – Dubai, UAE Girls Guides Association, UAE Scout Association, Palms Sports, and a number of UAE universities and research institutions.

His Excellency Eng. Mohammed Al Qasim, Undersecretary of the MoE, emphasised that the winter camps aim to turn vacation time into an opportunity for growth by fostering creativity, enhancing students’ practical skills and strengthening independent learning. He highlighted the crucial support of parents and reiterated that investing in students is an investment in the nation’s future. He also reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to working with partners to build competitive and future-focused learning environments.

This year’s winter camps feature diverse themes, including national identity, artificial intelligence, innovation, sustainable development, positive behaviour, safety, volunteerism, scientific research, financial literacy, entrepreneurship, sports, applied sciences and cultural industries. Specialised programmes will also focus on talent development, preparation for science Olympiads, food security, environmental protection, scouting and leadership. Advanced sports training will be offered in areas such as jiu-jitsu, swimming and team sports.

By providing opportunities to explore talents, nurture a passion for learning and reinforce Emirati values, the winter camps aim to shape a proactive generation equipped to contribute positively and meaningfully to society.
