Milestone Systems Launches Next-Gen Security Upgrades for the Middle East Market
Milestone Systems, a global leader in video technology, has unveiled a comprehensive suite of upgrades across its security product portfolio, aimed at strengthening surveillance operations for organizations in the Middle East and beyond. The latest updates enhance its flagship XProtect video management software, BriefCam AI-powered analytics, and Arcules cloud-based video security platform, marking a significant step forward in integrated and future-ready security solutions.
As regional demand for AI-driven and scalable security systems grows, these updates are designed to help security teams improve response times, optimize workflows, and protect people and assets more efficiently.
Smart Access Control Visualization
One of the standout features in XProtect 2025 R2 is the integration of access control directly into Smart Map. Security operators can now visualize card readers, gates, turnstiles, and other access points alongside their video feeds—eliminating the need to switch between separate platforms.
When an access-related event occurs, Smart Map instantly updates, allowing quick identification and direct door control from the interface. This real-time, map-based response reduces decision-making time during critical incidents.
Improved Operator Workflows
Milestone has introduced several practical workflow upgrades:
-
Stamped image snapshots now include time and camera data for improved investigation reporting.
-
Smart Client merges HTML and image/text tools into a unified interface, simplifying dashboard creation.
-
The Milestone Integration Platform now features geographic positioning for access control and extended video codec support.
In parallel, Milestone AI Bridge 2.0.0 is now production-ready, offering streamlined integration of AI into video workflows.
Upgraded BriefCam AI Analytics
Milestone’s analytics solution BriefCam has received enhancements to boost reliability and usability:
-
A modernized infrastructure ensures stability when analyzing high volumes of footage.
-
A new Home Research Dashboard provides role-based access tailored to different users.
-
The Respond Module has been updated with improved mapping to visualize incident trends.
-
Custom classification creation is now easier, with tighter synchronization with VMS platforms.
Flexible Cloud Security with Arcules
As cloud adoption accelerates, Milestone's Arcules platform introduces major upgrades for hybrid security deployments:
-
Enhanced enterprise scalability without compromising performance.
-
Improved user management for better control over permissions and configurations.
-
Expanded analytics to help identify security patterns from video data.
-
Seamless integration with on-premises systems to support hybrid infrastructure.
These updates are expected to benefit businesses seeking scalable, agile, and cost-effective video surveillance systems.
