The program is hosted by a popular journalist hailing from Trivandrum district of Kerala Nissar Syed, who is also the Managing Director of Asiavision, UAE. Nissar Syed started his journey in the field of Journalism in the year 1992 as a casual freelance news reader in All India Radio Trivandrum. His column in Kerala Kaumudi daily named Prashastharude Innale which meant Yesteryears of Charismatic Personalities was well received by the Malayalee audience. This later got published into a book by the then Chief Minister of Kerala E K Nayanar and the 1st copy of the book was given to the legendary Malayalam poet & lyricist, who is also the Jnanpith Award winner O N V Kurup.
Nissar Syed has received various awards & recognitions for his contributions in the field of media which also includes the UAE Exchange Chiranthana Media Awards, the most popular media personality Middle East Award by Arabia Magazine which was awarded by the famous Indian Playback singer Dr. K J Yesudas. In 2002, with a handful of experience and knowledge he put a start to the journey of Asiavision, of which Dubai Vartha is now a part.Asiavision movie awards launched in the year 2006 by Nissar Syed , across these years has organized successful events with Indian celebrities like Mammootty , Mohanlal , Aishwarya Rai , Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and many more attending it and receiving awards. Not only has Nissar Syed taken the platform Dubai Vartha a long way by providing all kinds of information but also has made it a socially responsible platform where people can interact and find fruitful solutions to their queries. The very prominent media in UAE - Gulf News Daily had mentioned about the contributions made by Nissar Syed and Dubai Vartha in helping a family from Nigeria travel to UAE with a special approval when there were no flights plying during the Pandemic 2020. Many destitute people got free air tickets to their hometown during the pandemic through Dubai Vartha which was collected by Nissar Syed from various personalities for distribution.
