Anyone who uses the UAE Legislations App knows how easy it is to browse this smart application to gain access to legal information instantly and effectively. This application, launched by the UAE Cabinet in October 2014, has already become a major digital platform for federal legislations.

The launch of this application is aligned to the governments strategy to provide the best services to customers in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to develop smart services based on the latest technologies to meet the needs of the people.

Integrated content

The UAE Legislations App, which can be downloaded from Google Play and App Store, has proved to be highly beneficial to customers in government and private sectors as well as for legal and media professionals, researchers and anyone looking for information related to federal legislation. The application includes an e-database of the most important federal legislations in the UAE since the countrys founding in 1971.

The content covers 270 legislations and has been divided to 21 sections, including the full text of the UAE Constitution, the personal status law, and legislations on penal and civil law as well as those related to areas such as commercial, financial, investment, human resources, education and research, and social security and pensions. It also includes amendments to these legislations.

Effective use

The application was designed under the supervision of the Legal Affairs Bureau in the General Secretariat of the Cabinet, offering easy-to-navigate features for all types of users. Users can review the content and add them to their favorite list, enabling them to gain access to the most important legislation related to their field of activity. It also alerts them if there is any amendment to a legislation in their favorite list.

All the details and amendments can be reviewed and sent to friends and contacts through phone text messages or email. It is also possible to print a particular piece of legislation or download it on the mobile phone. Besides, the application features a search feature based on a specific word or advanced search based on specific time period in terms of years.
