Lane Closure on Al Khail Road After Construction Materials Fall on Highway

A section of Al Khail Road experienced significant traffic disruption on Thursday after construction materials spilled onto the highway, leading to the temporary closure of one lane.

Dubai Police reported that ceramic tiles fell onto the roadway near the Arabian Ranches Bridge, creating hazardous conditions for motorists. Emergency response teams were quickly deployed to assess and clear the debris.

The incident caused delays during peak traffic hours, prompting authorities to advise drivers to use alternative routes. Motorists were also urged to maintain caution, follow posted traffic signs, and stay updated through official channels for traffic advisories.

Efforts are underway to remove the spilled materials and reopen the affected lane as soon as possible. The Dubai Police emphasized the importance of securing construction materials during transportation to prevent such incidents in the future.

Commuters’ Advisory:
Drivers traveling on Al Khail Road should consider alternate routes, such as Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road or Emirates Road, to avoid delays. Travelers are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and allow extra time to reach their destinations.

This incident underscores the importance of road safety and the need for proper transportation of construction materials. Dubai Police and road authorities continue to monitor and manage the situation to minimize inconvenience to the public.
