Huawei hosted the Smart Education Forum at GITEX GLOBAL 2025, presenting a new vision for the future of intelligent education. The forum highlighted Huawei’s commitment to empowering educational institutions through digital transformation, innovation, and inclusivity, alongside the launch of its latest ICT Skills Development Insight Reports in collaboration with UNESCO IITE.
The event brought together leading educators, policymakers, and technology experts to explore how AI and advanced ICT infrastructure can revolutionize learning environments. The discussions underscored the role of digital education in driving social and economic progress across the Middle East and globally.
Peter Zhang, Vice President of Huawei Global Public Business Unit, opened the forum, emphasizing Huawei’s dedication to building a digitally inclusive education ecosystem. This was followed by a presentation from Alexander Michael, Global Vice President and ICT Advisory at Frost & Sullivan, who discussed the profound impact of AI in reshaping education and workforce development.
Mehedi Hasan Limon, Vice President of Huawei Middle East and Central Asia Public Sector, unveiled “A New Blueprint for Intelligent Education,” centered around Huawei’s Smart Education 1+3 All-Scenario Solution. Huawei’s collaboration with UNESCO IITE further strengthens its mission to close the digital divide. The jointly released ICT Skills Development Insight Reports offer data-driven recommendations to help educational institutions enhance digital literacy, streamline operations, and ensure long-term adaptability. The initiative aligns with the UAE’s and wider region’s vision to become leaders in innovation, education, and technology adoption.

“Education is at a pivotal moment. To prepare the next generation, we must build systems that are open, resilient, and intelligent. Huawei is committed to partnering with schools and universities to modernize teaching methods, drive digital campus transformation, and develop smart classroom infrastructure.”
Adding a global perspective, Ekaterina Pushkareva, Programme Specialist at UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education (UNESCO IITE), remarked,
“AI is transforming higher education, opening new opportunities for more inclusive and adaptive learning. Our partnership with Huawei demonstrates how collaboration between technology leaders and international organizations can accelerate this transformation regionally and globally.”
