Huawei bags top awards in 5G edge computing technologies and data center network solutions.
At the 2020 5G World Summit hosted by Informal Tech, Huawei Deterministic Networking Oriented 5G MEC Solution got the Best Edge Computing award, a testimonial to Huawei as a distinguished member in the industry when it develops to innovation in 5G edge computing technologies and commercial practices. More and more applications in 5G have differentiated and deterministic reservations.
To this end, Huawei introduces the 5GDN, offering customers a predictable and differentiated service encounter through manageable, valid, and deterministic implicit single mobile networks.
Huawei proceeds to increase R&D expenditure in 5G to make further scientific breakthroughs and will work with industry organizations, operators, and allies to promote MEC development, encourage new industries at the system edge, and bring the power of 5G to all business sectors.
Separately, Huaweis CloudEngine data core switches were also identified as a pilot in The Forrester WaveTM: Open, Programmable Switches For A Businesswide SDN, Q3 2020 report. These switches reached the highest score in the current offering as well as full marks in all of the following seven criteria hardware support, switch hardware and OS strategy, automation and programmability strategy, evolution training, open networking, engineers, and partners.
The Forrester report also affirmed that "Huawei has one of the largest data networking portfolios across enterprise networking vendors and retains the largest networking market share in China, with a strong presence in Africa, Asia, Europe, and South America."
