HE Reem Al Hashimy meets regional Facebook leaders to discuss Expo 2020 Dubai opportunities
Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 14 February 2019: Her Excellency Reem Al Hashimy, UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation and Director General, Dubai Expo 2020 Bureau, met with Nicola Mendelsohn, VP EMEA for Facebook, and other regional leaders on 13 February to discuss potential partnership opportunities around the first World Exposition to be held in the Middle East, Africa and South Asian (MEASA) region in the United Arab Emirates in 2020.
Delegates included: Nicola Mendelsohn, Vice President, Europe, Middle East and Africa; Ari Kesisoglu, Regional Vice President, Middle East and Africa; Nashwa Aly, Head of Public Policy, Middle East and North Africa; Ramez Shehadi, Managing Director, Middle East and North Africa; and Terry Kane, Head of Industry, Middle East and North Africa, Facebook.
Expo 2020 Dubai is guided by the belief that innovation and progress are the results of people and ideas combining in new ways. For six months from 20 October 2020, Expo will bring together 190 countries and millions of people to celebrate human ingenuity: Connecting Minds, Creating the Future.
