Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University signs MoU with THE-CODE to boost digital skills and innovative learning

Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University (HBMSU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with THE-CODE, a company specialising in educational programmes and technology-driven initiatives, to advance digital skills, empower educators, and foster innovative learning environments.

The MoU was signed by Dr. Fahad Al Saadi, Vice Chancellor for Institutional Resources and Services at HBMSU, and Radwa Salem, Managing Director of THE-CODE, in the presence of H.E. Dr. Mansoor Al Awar, Chancellor of HBMSU.

The agreement reflects HBMSU’s commitment to a smart learning model powered by artificial intelligence and digital innovation. It aims to align education with the demands of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the UAE’s national agenda by offering programmes that build future-ready skills.

The partnership focuses on tailored educational initiatives for learners aged 7 to 16, covering coding, artificial intelligence, critical thinking, and innovation. It also includes professional development programmes for teachers, highlighting smart learning tools, educational leadership, and change management.

H.E. Dr. Mansoor Al Awar emphasised the importance of the initiative, saying:
“We believe that building a digitally empowered learning community capable of driving transformation starts with investing in educators and young learners. Our programmes and initiatives integrate emerging AI tools and technologies with a forward-thinking vision.”

Radwa Salem added:
“Collaboration with HBMSU offers strong momentum for THE-CODE’s mission to empower the next generation of innovators in technology and entrepreneurship.”

As part of the collaboration, HBMSU and THE-CODE will host workshops, coding boot camps, and educational hackathons, in addition to launching innovation labs and incubators. The initiative also integrates digital sustainability into curricula while conducting joint studies to evaluate the impact of digital transformation on learning outcomes.

Aligned with the UAE 2031 Vision and the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33), the partnership supports HBMSU’s School of e-Education — the first of its kind in the region — which promotes learner-centric models designed to lead the digital transformation of education.

This collaboration reinforces HBMSU’s role as a pioneer in smart education, preparing Emirati talent to lead transformation in education, technology, and the knowledge-driven economy of the future.
