The Four Seasons Hotel Kuwait, in the luxurious leisure facilities of Burj Alshaya was crowned the 'Best Hotel Swimming Pool in the Middle East' with its stunning indoor pool at the prestigious Prix Villgiature Awards 2019 on 14 October. The prestigious award is the latest in a series of remarkable achievements for the property, garnering considerable acclaim and numerous industry accolades since it first opened its doors to guests.

The award was presented to General Manager Didier Jardin during a glittering ceremony in the lush surroundings of the 18th-century palace of the Chteau de Ferrires, originally built for Baron James de Rothschild. First held in 2003, the annual Prix Village Awards celebrate the best hotels and luxury hospitality experiences in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East.

A monument to sculptural refinement, the hotels indoor swimming pool is located in the quiet, controlled and subtle surroundings of the spa. Its architecture is based on a modern colon, while the water is illuminated by dozens of incandescent lights hanging at different heights. The pool area is surrounded by archives and alcoves, creating semi-private rest areas for guests. Both the perimeter walls and the pool are dramatically lined with deep indigo stone, while soft and textured limestone accents enhance the appeal of the archives.
