Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at The First Residence is the very first Four Seasons Hotel to open in the Middle East. The French Empire-inspired architecture and dcor of the Hotel salutes one of the most influential eras of design in Egypt and is a hospitality landmark in the Egyptian capital. Inspired by Egypts Napoleonic past, the hotels interiors include soaring columns, exquisite Oriental rugs, and lavish swathes of silk drapery and tassels framing the windows. Tastefully placed amidst all this French finery are wonderful touches that pay homage to the countrys dramatic history.
Designed by the Atlanta architecture firm Smallwood, Reynolds, Stuart & Stuart, the 20-story hotel in a contemporary style formed entirely from glass, has long shone as a jewel against the Cairo skyline and a venue of choice among the citys residents and a highly desirable address for guests from out of town.
Whether its afternoon tea at the Tea Lounge or soaking in the midday sun by the Nile at Aura, the Hotels poolside Shami restaurant, Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at The First Residence has gained a well-deserved reputation as an elegant sanctuary in the city. With impressive views of the Great Pyramids over the old-growth canopy of Cairos ancient Zoological and Botanical Gardens, the Hotel offers an unmatched atmosphere and sense of place, allowing guests to experience a timeless panorama of the city, paired as always, with the exceptional level of personalised service that sets Four Seasons apart.
