With Grade 10 board exams cancelled for CBSE students in the Gulf region, how will students in the UAE be assessed?

Education leaders say schools are likely to rely on internal evaluations similar to the model used during the COVID-19 pandemic. This could include moderated marks based on pre-board exams, internal tests, practical assessments and students’ past academic performance. The Central Board of Secondary Education has previously used such evaluation frameworks during disruptions to ensure fairness while allowing students to progress academically. Meanwhile, schools in Dubai and across the UAE are continuing online classes, revision sessions and counselling support to help students stay engaged and manage stress while they await further guidance from the board.
