Will UAE residents get an extra day off since Eid Al Adha falls on a weekend?

While many UAE residents are enjoying a four-day break from Thursday, June 5 (Arafat Day) through Sunday, June 8 (Eid weekend), the law does not mandate a compensatory day off when public holidays fall on weekends. According to UAE Labour Law, unless announced otherwise by the government, no extra day is granted for weekend overlap. So, despite the celebrations, there’s no official extension.
