Why does Dubai-based entrepreneur Stephan Muller delete all social media from his phone for four hours every day?

Speaking at the inaugural KT+150 Summit, Stephan Muller — GCC Director of wearable tech brand Whoop — said he removes social media apps twice a day to create two distraction-free, 90-minute focus blocks. With attention constantly pulled in different directions, he says the practice helps him stay “truly present,” calling presence a modern-day superpower. Fellow speakers added that social media is a hidden “time thief,” task-switching wastes valuable minutes, and real productivity also includes family time and building sustainable daily systems to avoid burnout. What do you think, could deleting social media for a few hours a day realistically boost your focus, or is it too extreme?
