Fresh ‘no passing’ solid lines—with overhead cameras enforcing them—have been added on Ittihad Road, Baghdad Street, the Airport Tunnel, E311 and E611, and according to the RTA rulebook, drivers must not cross these continuous white lines for overtaking or lane changes; however, many commuters say the markings appeared without prior warning and are placed close to exits, causing confusion and unintentional violations that result in Dh400 fines. Do you think authorities should give clearer advance alerts before implementing such changes, or should drivers simply adapt quickly for the sake of road safety?
