When will the US Embassy and Consulate in the UAE be closed for Christmas, and when will services resume?

The US Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the US Consulate General in Dubai will be closed for three days — Wednesday, December 24; Thursday, December 25 (Christmas Day); and Friday, December 26 — as part of Christmas festivities. Normal operations will resume on Monday, December 29. During this period, routine consular services will be unavailable. Pakistan’s embassy in the UAE will also be closed on December 25 to mark Christmas and Quaid-i-Azam Day. While Christmas is not an official public holiday in the UAE, some companies are offering internal leave on December 25 — and in some cases Boxing Day — reflecting more globally aligned workplace practices. Do you think more organisations in the UAE should formally recognise such global holidays, or is the current flexible approach better?
