The Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) hosted its second City Briefing of the year, attended by over 1,300 industry professionals, where Helal Saeed Almarri, Director-General of DET, emphasized the importance of public-private sector collaboration in driving Dubai's sustainable development and tourism sector. The briefing highlighted the growth of Dubai’s tourism industry, with 14.96 million international visitors in 2024, an 8% increase from the previous year, and a robust hospitality sector with 152,000 hotel rooms by October 2024. Participants were also updated on initiatives and campaigns supporting tourism growth, including destination weddings, gastronomy, and sustainability, as well as DET's global outreach through 36 brand offices and over 45 international roadshows conducted in 2024.
