Dubai Reef, the world’s largest artificial marine reef project, represents one of the emirate’s boldest sustainability efforts, aiming to establish a 600-square-kilometer underwater city teeming with marine life through the deployment of 20,000 reef modules over the next four years. Having launched its pilot modules in April 2024, the project is set to revolutionize marine conservation. Complementing this, Dubai’s marinas are transforming into eco-friendly hubs by adopting sustainable practices like enhanced waste management, recycling initiatives, and energy-efficient upgrades, ensuring yachting’s environmental impact is minimized while promoting efficient water use. Together, these initiatives reinforce Dubai’s leadership in ecological innovation and sustainable marine tourism.
