Dubai’s hosting of the 13th World Cities Culture Summit from 30 October to 1 November 2024 marks the first time the event will be held in the Middle East and North Africa region. Organized in collaboration with the Government of Dubai and Dubai Culture & Arts Authority, the Summit, under the theme "Tomorrow’s culture: how will the next generation shape our world?," will bring city leaders from major creative hubs like London, New York, and Tokyo together to discuss supporting the next generation of artists and innovators. Topics include blending tradition with technology, addressing climate challenges, and fostering sustainable cultural ecosystems, with sessions hosted at iconic venues like the Al Shindagha Museum, Museum of the Future, and Alserkal Avenue. A free public session on October 31 will explore how cities can attract and retain creative talent, ensuring culture remains central to urban life.
