The festival, running until February 9 as part of the Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Agricultural Excellence Award at the Sheikh Zayed Festival in Al Wathba, Abu Dhabi, brings together 100 local beekeepers and 60 specialised companies involved in honey production. It aims to promote Emirati honey products, enhance beekeepers’ expertise, and introduce them to the latest global innovations in honey production. A dedicated evaluation committee, in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council and the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority, ensures the quality of honey through strict laboratory tests. With a Dh10 million prize pool, the event highlights Abu Dhabi’s commitment to sustainable agriculture and national food security.
