Massive projects such as a new 12-lane federal highway, eVTOL air taxis, Dubai Metro’s Blue Line, the passenger service by Etihad Rail and high-speed rail links between Abu Dhabi and Dubai aim to cut travel times, reduce congestion and make transport smarter and more sustainable, with Dubai and Abu Dhabi also rolling out robotaxis, modular smart vehicles and pedestrian-first projects to shift people away from car-dependent travel.
