The UAE is actively encouraging business investment through a broad network of free trade zones and streamlined processes for company registration via the Department of Economic Development in each emirate. The country signed the WTO’s Investment Facilitation for Development Agreement in November 2023 and maintains a National Economic Register for easy access to economic activity data. To attract foreign talent, the UAE offers various residency programs, including the Golden Visa for professionals, real estate investors, and entrepreneurs, alongside multiple visa options for skilled employees and freelancers. Furthermore, Dubai has launched platforms like Invest in Dubai and the Dubai Unified License project to simplify business setup, while Ajman and Ras Al Khaimah introduced initiatives to boost real estate and digital asset investments. The UAE’s commitment to fostering innovation is also evident in measures like the Dubai International Financial Center’s Digital Assets Law and initiatives supporting social and environmental businesses, such as the DMCC's Impact Scale-Up program.
