Federal Tax Authority’s Innovation Team Hosts Workshop to Advance Sustainable Development of Tax Services in Line with UAE’s Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme

 The Federal Tax Authority (FTA) of the UAE, led by His Excellency Khalid Ali Al Bustani, Director General, is spearheading initiatives to streamline tax procedures and eliminate unnecessary requirements as part of the UAE’s Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme. This programme aims to reduce the duration of government services by 50%, aligning with the broader objective of eliminating 2,000 government procedures within a year.

During a workshop organized by the FTA’s Innovation Team in collaboration with 01Gov, a renowned partner in government innovation, H.E. Al Bustani emphasized the Authority’s ongoing efforts to introduce new services and facilities, minimizing procedures, and accelerating service completion times. The workshop focused on the Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme and explored effective ways for participants to contribute to it.

H.E. Al Bustani, who inaugurated the workshop, encouraged all stakeholders to contribute ideas and suggestions for the sustainable development of tax services. He highlighted the importance of enhancing efficiency, quality, and flexibility while streamlining government procedures and eliminating unnecessary steps. Emphasizing the value of exchanging views and learning from practical experiences, H.E. Al Bustani underscored the FTA’s commitment to developing its services and tax procedures, particularly in reducing transaction completion times and simplifying processes.

The workshop discussed various proposals aimed at reducing the time and effort required to complete tax services. Participants analyzed key services to identify and eliminate unnecessary procedures and requirements, ensuring effective and efficient service delivery to all client categories.

The FTA’s Innovation Team confirmed that the proposals and recommendations from the workshop will be incorporated into the Authority’s ongoing development plans. These plans encompass all areas of the FTA’s work, supporting community service initiatives, and driving sustainable development.
