FDF Implements Interactive Workshops for Senior Citizens as Part of Barakat Al Dar Club Forums

The Family Development Foundation (FDF) has launched a series of interactive workshops aimed at senior citizens as part of its ‘Barakat Al Dar’ club forums. These workshops are designed to foster the mental health and well-being of senior citizens and residents, providing a safe and secure environment that enhances their participation and guarantees psychosocial, cultural, and health support.

Khawla Al Kaabi, Head of Social Welfare for Senior Citizens at the Family Development Foundation, emphasized the foundation’s commitment to supporting senior citizens and residents. “The Foundation recognizes the valuable role of senior citizens and residents, offering requisite psychosocial support and other assistance. It is geared towards their better social integration and strengthening their capacities through several interactive activities, as well as awareness and educational workshops offered through the Barakat Al Dar Club forums,” Al Kaabi said.

The Barakat Al Dar Club offers various forums, including the Health Forum, Family Forum, Educational Forum, Happiness Forum, Entrepreneurs Forum, Retirement Preparation Forum, and Social Support Forum. These forums aim to ensure a healthy lifestyle for senior citizens and residents, providing social support and enabling the exchange of knowledge and experiences with younger generations. The forums also promote senior citizens’ projects, help fill their leisure time, and raise their quality of life through events that foster mental health and positive thinking. Additionally, they offer an integrated program for retirement preparation to ensure a better quality of life.

The workshops presented in the forums cover a wide range of topics, including debt management, investment, organization of monthly expenditure, business plan preparation, entrepreneurship, idea generation, goodness in your hands, memorizing the Holy Quran, reading workshops, fitness, memory revitalization, positive competition, nurturing love for protection, and the joy of our adults.
