Family Development Foundation Partners with Emirates Society for Parent Care and Relief to Support Senior Citizens
The Family Development Foundation (FDF) has signed an agreement with the Emirates Society for Parent Care and Relief to enhance social services for senior citizens and residents approaching this stage of life. The collaboration aims to promote family stability and cohesion across Abu Dhabi.
The agreement was formalized at the Jebel Hafeet Community Center in Al Ain by Her Excellency Maryam Mohammed Al Rumaithi, Director General of the FDF, and His Excellency Counselor Ahmed Salem Soudain, Chairman of the Emirates Society for Parent Care and Relief. Several officials and employees from both organizations attended the signing ceremony.
H.E. Al Rumaithi emphasized that the partnership is dedicated to meeting the needs of senior citizens, aligning with FDF’s expanded mandate to provide exceptional care for this demographic. She highlighted the foundation's commitment to strengthening collaborations across the public and private sectors, in line with the vision of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, ‘Mother of the Nation,’ Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, Supreme Chairwoman of the FDF, and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood.
The collaboration will focus on hosting events, activities, and specialized services for senior citizens. Additionally, it will support research and data-sharing efforts to address challenges affecting senior care services. H.E. Al Rumaithi commended the Emirates Society for Parent Care and Relief for its efforts in promoting filial piety and empowering senior citizens through essential support programs.
H.E. Soudain praised the FDF’s role in delivering high-quality social services and reaffirmed his organization’s commitment to enhancing senior care through sustainable initiatives. He noted that the agreement represents a crucial step in ensuring effective service delivery tailored to the needs of senior citizens.
