ENOC introduces long hoses with retractors in high-traffic service stations to enhance customer convenience

As part of its commitment to strengthening customer service efficiency, Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) has introduced long fueling hoses with retractors for Special petrol refueling at 16 high-traffic service stations in Dubai. Motorists can now conveniently refuel Special petrol from either side of the pump, enabling them to save time in the process.

Burhan Al Hashemi, Managing Director of ENOC Retail, said the customer-oriented initiative has been implemented to speed up fueling in the heavy-traffic sites and to reduce the waiting time of motorists, particularly during peak periods.

The new initiative underlines our commitment to strengthen our customer service standards. While the long hoses have been introduced in 16 service stations as part of the first phase, we will add another 16 service stations in September, and eventually introduce them across our entire network, he added. The long hoses are provided for refueling Special petrol as it has the most demand from customers.

The long hoses with retractors have been installed to the highest standards of safety and convenience. Motorists now do not have to drive into any specific pump, based on the position of their fuel tank. From either sides of the pump, they can conveniently complete the refueling.

The introduction of the long hoses follows the introduction by ENOC of the path-breaking Vehicle Identification Pass (ViP) initiative, a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID)-based fuel retailing system, now available across the entire ENOC/EPPCO network for commercial users and fleet owners.

Enabling motorists to refuel conveniently, the ViP system also allows registered users to benefit from ease in account-keeping through completely automated operations. Automatically recognising the vehicle being fuelled, ViP deducts the cost from the registered users account, without the need of an attendant.

ENOC is at the forefront of several industry-leading initiatives to enhance operational efficiencies and promote sustainable development.
