ENOC hosts student delegation from Sam Houston State University in Texas
Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) hosted a delegation of students and faculty members from Sam Houston State University in Texas, who were in Dubai as part of an educational programme.
The visit was aimed at enabling the students to gain a better understanding of how petroleum retailing works in different markets. During the tour, students were guided through the different aspects of ENOCs retail operations and had the opportunity to learn more about how this practice fits into the larger ENOC corporate strategy and structure.
Burhan Al Hashemi, Managing Director, ENOC Retail, said: Hosting the students from the Sam Houston State University is part of our commitment to share knowledge and learning with the student community globally. This is part of our corporate social responsibility to strengthen industry-academic linkages and support talent development.
He added: ENOCs expansion into fuel and other retail services serves as a model in forward integration and was a unique learning experience for the visiting delegation. It enabled them to gain a better perspective of ENOC and our retail strategy in line with our larger organisational growth goals.
Over the years, ENOC has supported many student-oriented initiatives such as the Business Study Mission to the Middle East, a course offered by LKCSB. ENOC regularly hosts delegations of students from universities in the US, Europe and Singapore, providing a comprehensive overview of the organisations operations and the role it plays as the force behind every successful journey.
