ENOC to hire over 150 Emirati professionals

Dubai, UAE; April 27, 2014: Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) showcased over 150 career opportunities for Emirati professionals at Careers UAE 2014, the leading recruitment, training and education exhibition for UAE Nationals held at the Dubai International Convention Centre.

At Careers UAE, ENOC launched a new Technical Training Programme for Emiratis that aims to build their technical competencies. More than 45 UAE Nationals will be inducted into the programme this year and visitors to Careers UAE have the opportunity to enrol.

Saeed Khoory, CEO, ENOC, said: Through our participation at Careers UAE we underlined our commitment to achieve the Emiratisation goals set by the UAE Government and support the 7-year National Agenda announced by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to promote education and job creation for Emiratis.

We have already achieved an impressive 36 per cent Emiratisation, an increase from 30 per cent over the past three years, across diverse job responsibilities within the ENOC Group. We are focused on establishing our credentials as the employer of choice for Emiratis. Human resources are our strongest asset and building a strong team of Emirati professionals will further enable us to support the UAEs Vision 2021 to be among the best nations in the world by contributing actively to the nations all-round progress.

Rashid Ahmed Abdullah, Director, ENOC Group HR, added: Careers UAE served as a strong platform for us to reach out to qualified Emirati professionals as well as to students and present to them the rewarding career opportunities that we offer at ENOC. The launch of the technical training programme highlighted our commitment to create a talented pool of Emirati professionals who have technical careers in the energy and oil & gas sector. In addition to technical careers, we also offer jobs in diverse functions including administration, sales, marketing, brand and corporate communications, audit, accounting and finance.

The technical training programme is open for Emirati students and fresh graduates, who are exploring career opportunities in the energy sector. A structured programme, led by experts, will provide the participants training and hands-on experience at ENOC which has interests across the energy sector value chain.

A Corporate Image Study by ENOC last year highlighted that it ranks highest among all energy sector governmental entities in Dubai in its perception as an environment-friendly company and in its commitment to the quality of human life.

The company has launched a dedicated ENOC National Development Programme with five proficiency levels - Tatweer, Tadreeb, Ajyaal, Mawaheb and Imtiaz. These programmes focus on developing the functional, behavioural, professional, managerial and leadership skills of ENOCs National workforce.

ENOC also has a comprehensive and systematic professional development scheme for strengthening the career growth of all employees across the organisation.
