ENOC expands lubricants & grease manufacturing capacity as it adds Jebel Ali facility to its portfolio

ENOC Lubricants & Grease Manufacturing Plant (ELOMP) has expanded its capacity through the opening of its second blending location in Jebel Ali, thus increasing its total production capacity to over 300,000 MT/annum.

The Jebel Ali facility will complement ELOMPs existing manufacturing facility in Fujairah Port which is one of the largest of its kind in the Middle East and Africa. The expansion will further enhance ELOMPs tankage for storing raw materials and finished products and is aligned with ENOCs strategy to expand operations in order to meet growing customer demand in local and export markets.

ELOMPs dedicated 5,000 sqm Jebel Ali manufacturing facility located within the Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA) adds to its overall production and sale capabilities currently supplied through its ELOMP Fujairah facility. Featuring the most advanced technologies including automated blending and metering systems, ELOMP Jebel Ali can maximise blending flexibility in respect of product volumes and types.

Also given the day-time ban for land transportation, ELOMPs JAFZA facility will enable faster delivery to Abu Dhabi and Dubai customers.

Saif Al Falasi, Group Chief Executive, ENOC, said: Through our Jebel Ali plant, we are reiterating our trust in the continued diversification and potential for growth offered by expansion opportunities both in the UAE and other future locations overseas.

Al Falasi said that ELOMP will continue to serve as a key driver in ENOCs expansion to new global markets. Through our integrated approach to blending, analysis and filling, ELOMP manufactures a wide range of lubricants independently and caters to the needs of clients from over 60 countries in the Middle East region, Africa, South East Asia and the Indian Subcontinent, he continued.

The Jebel Ali plant will further assist in capacity expansion and improvement of efficiencies as the facility could extend its capacity from 12,000 MT to 35,000 MT per annum. ELOMP can also widen its client base through offering alternative product formulations for its customers in addition to securing business deals.

ELOMP engages in the production and sale of synthetic (full & partial) motor oils, gear/industrial oils, transmission fluids, brake fluids, grease and antifreeze. The plant can blend a wide range of oils including automotive engine oils, gear oils, transmission oils, speciality oils, industrial oils such as marine, railroad, hydraulic, turbine, compressor and gear oils, as well as automotive and industrial greases.

ELOMP upholds the highest quality and environmental standards in line with global best practices. The in-house lab ensures quality control of blended lubricants and greases, conducts oil analysis, and undertakes product development work. The plant also features an excellent underground spill collection network.
