Emirates NBD Group Innovation Olympics held in honour of 2015 UAE Innovation Week
Emirates NBD, a leading bank in the region, held the Emirates NBD Group Innovation Olympics today in honour of the 2015 UAE Innovation Week (22 - 28 November) launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
The event, part of Emirates NBD's long-term commitment to cultivate a culture of innovation within the organisation, was officially signed up with the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Centre for Government Innovation as one of the main support activities of the UAE Innovation Week. The day-long event showcased ingenious options in banking and financial innovation as well as new principles and possibilities within the sector, and was attended by members of the board of directors and executive management in addition to senior bank officials and personnel members.
As part of the Emirates NBD Group Innovation Olympics, fifteen finalists of the bank's internal development challenge provided their working prototypes based on the four main styles: 'Enhancing client experience', 'Powering business objectives', 'Business optimisation' and 'Improving staff engagement'. The UAE Innovation Week is an event of development in the UAE, in line with the instruction of the President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to mark 2015 as the 'Year of Innovation'.
