Emirates Islamic and EDGE Group sign landmark growth-focused partnership for Innovative Financing Solutions

Emirates Islamic, one of the UAE’s leading Islamic financial institutions, has signed a landmark partnership agreement with EDGE Group, a global advanced technology and defence group, to deliver innovative Shari’ah-compliant financing solutions.

The agreement, formalised during a signing ceremony in Dubai, will see Emirates Islamic provide tailored Islamic banking solutions initially focused on addressing EDGE Group’s treasury requirements.

Long-term strategic cooperation

The collaboration marks the first phase of a broader, long-term partnership designed to explore a wide range of local and international financing opportunities. In addition to treasury support, the agreement encompasses corporate finance, supply chain finance and digital banking solutions, reflecting a comprehensive approach to supporting EDGE Group’s growth strategy.

Mohammad Kamran Wajid, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Emirates Islamic, said the partnership underscores the bank’s commitment to empowering leading UAE enterprises through Shari’ah-compliant financial products.

“Through our scale, innovation and expanding suite of products, we continue to advance the development of Islamic finance and deliver solutions that meet the evolving needs of businesses across sectors,” he said.

Strengthening capital structure and global expansion

For EDGE Group, the partnership is expected to enhance its capital framework and support its expanding international operations.

Rodrigo Torres, President and Group CFO of EDGE Group, said: “Securing innovative financing solutions is crucial for EDGE as we continue to expand our global footprint and accelerate the development of advanced technologies. Our partnership with Emirates Islamic represents a significant step in strengthening our capital structure.”

He added that the collaboration will support treasury management, corporate finance initiatives and supply chain capabilities, reinforcing EDGE’s ambition to drive future-focused industries from the UAE.

With more than two decades of operations, Emirates Islamic has established a strong presence in the UAE’s Islamic banking and finance sector, positioning itself as a key enabler of Shari’ah-compliant financial innovation. The new partnership further strengthens its role in supporting major national enterprises and advancing the growth of Islamic finance in the region.
