Ducab Showcases UAE Manufacturing Strength and Energy Transition Solutions at WETEX 2026

Ducab Group is showcasing its cable and metals manufacturing capabilities at the 28th Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) 2026, highlighting the role of UAE-made products in supporting the energy transition, critical infrastructure and international industrial projects.

Taking place from October 20 to 22 at Dubai World Trade Centre, WETEX provides Ducab with a platform to engage with utilities, developers and industrial customers while exploring partnerships across domestic and international markets.

Ducab Supports Major UAE Energy Projects

As renewable and low-carbon power generation expands, investment in transmission and distribution infrastructure is becoming increasingly important to connect new capacity and maintain reliable electricity supplies for communities and industry.

Ducab has supplied cable solutions for several major UAE energy projects, including the Al Dhafra Solar Project, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park and Barakah Nuclear Energy Plant.

The company's participation at WETEX highlights the importance of continued innovation in cable design, materials and manufacturing to meet evolving requirements for safety, performance and efficiency across utility and industrial applications.

These capabilities also support Ducab's efforts to strengthen its competitiveness in international markets.

Local Manufacturing Supports UAE Industrial Strategy

Ducab reported an In-Country Value (ICV) score of 96.58%, with approximately 40% of its industrial raw materials sourced locally.

The company's manufacturing operations contribute to domestic supply chains and the development of national capabilities for critical energy infrastructure. Its local sourcing and production activities also support the UAE's industrial development objectives under Operation 300bn, the country's industrial strategy.

By strengthening local manufacturing capacity, Ducab aims to contribute to the availability of essential products for energy and infrastructure projects while supporting the wider industrial ecosystem.

UAE-Made Cables Supplied for Libya Industrial Project

Ducab's international operations include the supply of 220 kV extra-high-voltage cables for a power connection between the General Electricity Company of Libya's (GECOL) North Benghazi substation and the TOSYALI SULB Steel Industries Libya complex in Benghazi.

The cable system is designed to deliver electricity from Libya's national transmission network to the industrial complex, demonstrating the use of Ducab-manufactured products in major industrial infrastructure.

The project illustrates the role of specialised cable systems in connecting large industrial facilities to power networks and supporting electricity supply for energy-intensive operations.

Ducab Exhibits Cable and Energy Infrastructure Solutions at WETEX

At WETEX 2026, Ducab is displaying its portfolio of cable and energy infrastructure solutions at Stand TSP-4 in Za'abeel Hall 1 at Dubai World Trade Centre.

The exhibition provides an opportunity for the company to discuss changing infrastructure requirements with utilities, project developers and industrial customers, as well as explore partnerships aimed at supporting reliable power networks and long-term growth.

With its participation, Ducab is highlighting how UAE manufacturing expertise, local supply chains, and international project experience can contribute to the evolving needs of energy systems and critical infrastructure.
