The Dubai Land Department (DLD) has taken its ‘Dubai RE Connect’ initiative to Bengaluru, bringing Dubai’s real estate investment opportunities, regulatory framework and digital services directly to Indian investors and business leaders.
Held at Conrad Bengaluru, the event brought together investors, developers, brokers, high-net-worth individuals and industry professionals with representatives from DLD, Dubai Chambers and Dubai’s real estate sector.
The Bengaluru edition followed previous events in New Delhi and Mumbai, as Dubai continues to strengthen engagement with India’s investor community.
DLD highlights Dubai’s real estate opportunities
The event provided participants with insights into Dubai’s real estate market, including investment opportunities, regulatory protections, market data and digital services designed to support investors throughout the property investment process.
DLD also highlighted the importance of transparency, rights protection and accessible information in supporting informed investment decisions.
The initiative is aligned with the Dubai Real Estate Sector Strategy 2033, which targets AED 1 trillion in real estate transaction value and aims to raise the sector’s contribution to Dubai’s economy to AED 73 billion.
The strategy forms part of the emirate’s broader Dubai Economic Agenda D33 and long-term urban and economic development plans.
Dubai completes projects worth more than Dh111 billion
The Bengaluru engagement comes as Dubai’s real estate market continues to expand.
During the first half of 2026, 104 real estate projects were completed in Dubai, representing a 38.7 per cent increase compared with the same period in 2025.
The completed projects had a combined value of more than AED 111 billion, up 52 per cent year on year. A total of 24,537 new residential and other real estate units were also delivered, marking a 36 per cent increase.
DLD used the figures to highlight the continued expansion of Dubai’s property supply and development pipeline alongside investor demand.
Digital services and first-home programme showcased
DLD also presented several initiatives aimed at improving the customer and investor experience, including the ‘Preliminary Registration’ platform, ‘Tamleek+’ and the ‘First Home Ownership’ programme.
By the end of June 2026, the First Home Ownership programme had helped more than 3,200 residents purchase their first homes in Dubai, with the total value of sales exceeding AED 5 billion.
Other initiatives highlighted at the Bengaluru event included flexible rent payment solutions, the Dubai REST application and frameworks supporting Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs).
Strengthening UAE-India investment ties
The Bengaluru event also reflected the longstanding economic relationship between the UAE and India and the significant participation of Indian investors in Dubai’s real estate market.
DLD said the initiative provides investors with direct access to official information about Dubai’s property market while strengthening links between the business and real estate communities of the two countries.
Through Dubai RE Connect, the department aims to expand direct engagement in international markets and provide investors with a clearer understanding of Dubai’s regulatory environment, market opportunities and digital property services.
The initiative forms part of Dubai’s broader efforts to strengthen its position as an international real estate investment destination and build long-term relationships with investors in key global markets.
