Dubai Culture Celebrates Eid Al Fitr with Cultural and Heritage Experiences

Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) has unveiled an exciting lineup of heritage-inspired entertainment shows and workshops at its museums to mark Eid Al Fitr. These activities are part of the "Eid in Dubai" campaign, launched by Brand Dubai, the creative arm of the Government of Dubai Media Office, to showcase the city's vibrant festive atmosphere and highlight its rich cultural and social heritage.

Immersive Cultural Experiences at Etihad Museum

During the Eid holidays, Etihad Museum will host two special workshops:

  • "The Story of the Union"

  • "The Union of the Emirates"

Visitors will also have the opportunity to join guided tours exploring the museum’s historical archives, which chronicle the founding of the UAE, the significance of its union, and the country’s deep-rooted heritage and national identity.

Family-Friendly Eid Festivities at Al Shindagha Museum

Starting on the second day of Eid, Dubai Culture will host the "Eid Trail" at Al Shindagha Museum, the largest heritage museum in the UAE. This interactive experience will allow families to:

  • Explore the museum’s historic houses and pavilions, gaining insights into Dubai and the UAE’s traditions and history.

  • Engage with exhibits, old photographs, films, and rare collectibles that showcase Dubai’s social life and cultural evolution.

  • Participate in heritage activities and interactive workshops, bringing local Eid customs to life.

Eidiyas and Prizes for Young Visitors

A special Eidiyas collection activity will add an element of fun for children. Young visitors can gather Eidiyas distributed throughout the museum and exchange them at the visitor center for souvenirs and prizes, reinforcing the spirit of giving and celebration that characterizes Eid Al Fitr.

Through these cultural and heritage-focused experiences, Dubai Culture aims to preserve and promote the UAE’s rich traditions, ensuring that residents and visitors alike connect with the country’s history while celebrating the festive season.
