Deloitte’s cloud center of excellence supports secure and compliant cloud migration in Qatar

Deloitte has reinforced its commitment to advancing Qatar’s digital transformation by expanding the role of its Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE), helping organizations migrate securely to public, private, and sovereign cloud environments hosted within the country.

Operating from its new office in Lusail, the CCoE brings together specialists in cloud strategy, architecture, engineering, and managed services to support large-scale migrations, modernization programmes, and the integration of AI-driven workloads. The initiative is designed to help public and private sector entities meet Qatar’s strict data sovereignty, governance, and regulatory requirements while improving performance and operational resilience.

Qatar’s growing focus on sovereign cloud infrastructure has accelerated demand for compliant, locally hosted digital platforms. Deloitte’s teams are working with organizations to assess cloud readiness, design tailored architectures, and execute migrations using proven industry methodologies, aiming to reduce risk and maximise long-term business value.

Key capabilities delivered through the CCoE include end-to-end cloud migration and modernization, advanced cloud engineering and automation, regulatory compliance advisory, structured training and upskilling for local talent, and sector-specific solutions for industries such as financial services and the public sector.

Mohammad Madhoun, Partner and Government & Public Sector Leader in Qatar at Deloitte Middle East, said the initiative supports the nation’s digital agenda by enabling clients to unlock the value of sovereign cloud and AI technologies. Peter Stojkovski, Partner in Engineering and CCoE Leader in Qatar, added that building secure and scalable cloud environments is essential to achieving sustainable digital transformation in the country.

As demand for cloud and AI adoption continues to grow, Deloitte stated it will continue to invest in trusted, secure, and innovative services to help organizations in Qatar navigate an increasingly complex digital landscape.
