Change in name of road ahead of Dubai Expo

Dubai, UAE, 19 January, 2019: The Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum declares orders to change the name of Jabal Ali Lehbab Road to Expo Road ahead of the soon approaching Dubai Expo 2020.

As the city prepares to surprise the world with an unparalleled version of its Expo, the change in name of the road is a significant step taken. The Expo that is to kick-start on 20 October 2020 is expected to draw in more than 20 million visitors, running till 10 April 2021. Out of the many visitors, a 70% will be foreigners, as per reports from the authorities.

The newly renamed road, stretching long as 15 km will lead to the happening place of Expo, while it also runs to important areas like Jabal Ali Free Zone, Jabal Ali industrial Area, Dubai Investment Park and Dubai South.
