CATHAY PACIFICS New Livery Makes Debut on Freighter Fleet

Cathay Pacific Airways today invited its very first freighter showcasing the airline's brand new livery. The freshly painted truck, a Boeing 747-400ERF (Extended Range Freighter) showed up in Hong Kong from the HAECO facility in Xiamen on 19 January.

The new Cathay Pacific livery was first revealed on among the airline company's Boeing 777-300ER airplane at a special occasion held at Hong Kong International Airport on 1 November 2015. An extension of the work that started in late 2014 to revitalize Cathay Pacific's brand identity, the livery is an important part of the airline's brand image and a sign of the business's values displayed on its essential asset.

The brand-new livery comprises three crucial design elements: the incorporation of the upgraded and streamlined brushwing; a simplification of the colour palette to Cathay Pacific green, grey, and white; and a more popular display screen of the Cathay Pacific wordmark and brushwing. These updates are most apparent on three locations of the airplane: the nose, the fuselage, and the tail. In general, these aspects give a more contemporary feel to the livery, which is better lined up with the direction of Cathay Pacific's total brand redesign.

Cathay Pacific General Manager Cargo Sales & Marketing Mark Sutch said: "We are delighted that a truck was selected as the 2nd in-service airplane to get the brand-new Cathay Pacific livery. We have one of the world's most extensive worldwide freight networks and it will be pleasing to see our Boeing 747-400ERF showcasing the airline company's new livery all over the world. This livery refreshes our brand and symbolises our continuing efforts to consistently deliver excellent service to our clients.".

Cathay Pacific presently operates freighter services to 46 destinations and also brings freight in the bellies of its 140-plus passenger airplane that serve a growing global network. The brand-new livery will be gradually presented onto all the aircraft in both its traveler and freighter fleets.
