Canon LFP ambassador Wouter Kingma launches aerial photograph exhibition of UAE images

Canon Middle East, a world leader in imaging solutions, is supporting Large Format Printing (LFP) Ambassador and acclaimed Middle East photographer Wouter Kingma in his exhibition of aerial photography. The show, which successfully launched at Emirates Towers Boulevard, will run from November 1st December 4th at Souk Madinat Jumeirah and December 5th 18th at the Audi showroom and features stunning images of the UAE captured from a helicopter vantage for a unique experience.

Of the 25,000 images shot from over 10 hours of flight time by helicopter, 30 favourites were selected to be highlighted in the exhibition. The photographs were captured using four Canon cameras and seven different lenses. The sessions resulted in a collection of exquisite prints taken from unique angles that showcase the UAEs urban growth and symbolic buildings. Canons support of Kingmas aerial photography exhibition reinforces its "closer to customers" strategy as it helps strengthen long-term relationships with photographers. As a LFP Ambassador, Kingma will provide industrial insights and educational materials to the local photography community about the importance and benefits of Large Format Printing. Furthermore, through a series of workshops hosted by Canon, Kingma will meet with amateur photographers and discuss the latest tools available to help showcase their work. The sponsorship is in line with Canon Middle Easts commitment to corporate social responsibility and is part of an ongoing investment in the Large Format Graphic Arts Printing industry.

Anurag Agrawal, Canon Middle East Managing Director, said: Wouter Kingma is a highly accomplished visual artist who has once again pushed the boundaries of photography with his latest show. The images on display are a wonderful tribute to the UAE and its fast-paced development.

In displaying the aerial photography collection, Kingma showcases the diverse capabilities of Canons camera equipment and innovative large format printers. By utilizing Canons extensive range of Large Format devices for photography and fine art applications, Kingmas photographs have been shifted from digital awe-inspiring visuals to crisp and fresh prints that can be shared with the public.

Wouter Kingma, Canon Middle East LFP ambassador, said: As an artist there is nothing as rewarding as sharing my creative work. So Im super excited to launch a selection of my favourite aerial images and exhibited them in a very original way.

The exhibition is also sponsored by Al Nabooda Automobiles Audi and Mr. Ali Al Nabooda, General Manager, said: We have been working with Wouter for many years and it is with great pleasure that we promote both the Audi Art Experience and UAE based artists, who play a pivotal role in cementing the regions arts and culture scene.
