Bayanat Engineering U.A.E and Northrop Grumman to Expand Communications System Capability at Worlds Busiest Airport

Northrop Grumman Corporation announced that its UK-based air traffic interaction systems subsidiary, Northrop Grumman Park Air Systems, is expanding the ability of the ATC communication systems at Dubai International (DXB) and Dubai World Central (DWC).

Under the regards to the contract granted to Bayanat Engineering U.A.E., Dubai Air Navigation Services (DANS) will receive Park Air Sapphire portfolio items including its newest Park Air T6 Radio at 5 radio websites located at each airport. The system will simultaneously support both legacy E1 and Voice over IP (VoIP) connectivity, this flexibility makes it possible for radio channels to be connected to a network of Park Air S4 IP Controllers while also linking to the airports' legacy voice switch.

The Park Air T6 Radio is an integral part of the Sapphire portfolio and will provide to DANS Simultaneous Call Transmission (SCT) detection, a method whereby the T6 Radio receiver will spot that 2 pilots have actually spoken at the same time and sends out an alert to the air traffic controller to take the suitable action.

"To establish a radio of such sophisticated ability is a credit to our engineers. The brand-new Park Air T6 Radio not only delivers a substantial advance in regards to performance, we have taken our ecological commitments seriously; it is the lightest and smallest radio in its class, its power consumption has been reduced and toxic materials such as beryllia and lithium, which are typically required in radio designs, have been omitted from the T6 Radio." stated Danny Milligan, Managing Director of Northrop Grumman Park Air Systems.

The delivery of the system which will begin in March 2016 will support the continuing enthusiastic growth plans at these 2 vital airports. DXB is the world's busiest international airport with 78 million passengers in 2015 and DWC, the worldwide air travel center in the making will end up being the world's largest airport with a supreme capability of approximately 240 million passengers and 16 million tonnes of freight.

Bayanat Engineering Group is exhibiting at World ATM Congress on March 8-10 and supporting Abu Dhabi Air Expo on March 8 -10.
