Bahrain Crowned Champions of Arabian Gulf Football Cup 26

Bahrain has clinched the championship title of the Arabian Gulf Football Cup, 'Khaleeji Zain 26,' after a thrilling 2-1 victory against Oman in the final match held at the Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium in Kuwait.

The final was an intense battle, with Oman initially taking the lead in the 17th minute through a well-placed goal by Abdulrahman Al-Mushaifri. However, Bahrain showcased remarkable resilience, leveling the score in the 78th minute with a penalty kick converted by Mohamed Marhoon. The decisive moment came just two minutes later when an own goal by Oman's Mohammed Al-Musalami sealed Bahrain's triumph.

This victory marks Bahrain's second Arabian Gulf Cup title, the first being their historic win in the 2019 edition.

The closing ceremony included a tribute to Gulf football legends, with His Highness Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Crown Prince of Kuwait, presenting awards and recognizing the stellar performances throughout the tournament.

The tournament was celebrated for fostering unity and shared pride across Gulf nations, emphasizing the spirit of sportsmanship and collaboration.
