Ajman Tourism Department Embarks on Scandinavian Tour to Boost Global Appeal
The Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD) has launched a promotional tour across Denmark, Sweden, and Norway to spotlight the emirate’s unique tourist attractions. Led by His Excellency Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi, Director General of ATDD, the initiative aims to promote Ajman internationally by showcasing its diverse tourism offerings. The tour, which commenced on December 1, will continue until December 7, 2024.
The campaign includes visits to key cities such as Copenhagen, Stockholm, and Oslo, where ATDD representatives will engage with Scandinavian tourism sector stakeholders. The tour’s objectives are to establish new partnerships, foster collaborations, and encourage Scandinavian citizens to visit Ajman. The emirate’s natural attractions, cultural heritage, and innovative tourism initiatives are central themes of the promotional efforts.
“The promotional tour aligns with our objective to boost Ajman’s tourism sector by highlighting the emirate’s resources and unique experiences it provides to visitors from all over the world,” said H.E. Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi. “Through this visit, we aim to strengthen our partnership with Scandinavian tourism companies, improve the flow of tourists from European markets to the emirate, and solidify Ajman’s position on the regional and global tourism map.”
The tour underscores ATDD’s commitment to enhancing Ajman’s appeal within the tourism sector. By fostering collaborations and increasing tourist traffic from Scandinavia, the initiative seeks to boost the emirate’s tourism revenue and support long-term sector growth.
ATDD’s broader strategy includes conducting similar promotional tours in international markets to raise awareness about Ajman’s offerings. This aligns with the emirate’s vision of becoming a premier global tourism destination.
