The Ajman Free Zone (AFZ) released the results of its 2021 operational performance in the technology sector and reported a significant growth of 21 per cent compared to 2020. The business hub currently hosts more than 550 registered companies in the sector cementing its position as one of AFZs strongest business areas.

The positive growth in results indicate the growing confidence of foreign investors and technology companies in AFZ's offerings in the sector. This comes as a strong testament to AFZ's commitment to empowering companies with world-class facilities, incentives, and comprehensive support solidifying AFZ's status as one of the best business hubs for tech companies in the UAE.

Moreover, the sustained growth in the sector also points to AFZ's willingness to contribute to the advancement of technology in the Emirate of Ajman. The free zone continues to play a pivotal role in technological advancements and upgrades in line with the UAE's vision for the next 50 years.

H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Board of Ajman Free Zones Authority, stated: The results and indicators recorded by AFZ are a testament to the effectiveness of our operational performance and strategies for the technology sector. We are proud of this achievement and see it as an incentive to further develop our services and capabilities to meet the growing aspirations and needs of the tech community. We are confident that our efforts will help transform AFZ into an ideal incubator for technology companies.

AFZ seeks to help companies grow and expand, facilitate easier business processes, and attract more foreign investors who can benefit from Ajman's competitive advantages, as one of the top regional investment destinations. The free zone has also been focusing on developing automation programs to accelerate digital transformation implementing new initiatives and products like the AI Robotics Hub, which is a one-stop-shop for entrepreneurs, entities, and SMES to explore new business opportunities, network with industry experts, and acquire new skills.
